The latest update to the 3CX mobile app for Apple iPhone was released last week. The main focus of this release is support for Apple’s new iOS to resolve any compatibility issues, so if you have upgraded to iOS 14 on your iPhone, we recommend that you update your 3CX app as well.
There are a couple of enhancements that have been included with this release of the app. The first is including a contact status indicator when searching. This is quite useful if you have a many extensions and you want to quickly see the status of a particular person. This feature can be accessed from the Search view in Status.
3CX have also introduced a streamlined startup wizard, so if you have a new extension, or a new iPhone, you can more easliy provision the extension and get started. You can use the QR code sent in the welcome email by opening your iPhone’s camera, or just open the 3CX configuration file from the welcome email in Mail on your phone.
Finally, a few bug fixes that have been included in this release which provide for improved connectivity and resolve some issues with conferencing.
